For over 40 years, Living Free Animal Sanctuary has been a refuge for those animals needing a second chance. HuggleGroup is proud to partner with Pet Food Experts to help raise awareness and funds for Living Free Animal Sanctuary. Living Free Animal Sanctuary, located on 155 acres in the San Jacinto Mountains near Idyllwild, California, is a diamond in the rough. The property has a kennel-in-the-round, Give Life Park, catteries and protected open-air "catios," breathtaking scenery, and wide open fields for the wild mustangs and rescued burros to run free.

Living Free's mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find permanent homes for healthy dogs and cats whose time is up at public shelters. It is also home to War Horse Creek, an immersive transition training program using rescued wild mustangs to assist veterans in adjusting to civilian life.

Little Tyke (L.T.) Knottie celebrates the life of a real-life Chihuahua Mixed Breed. Living Free rescued him in 2021 as a very tiny puppy. He arrived with his mother, but both of them were so emaciated and covered with ticks that his mom could not nurse him. The staff at Living Free had to feed L.T. every few hours for several weeks until he was strong enough to begin to eat solids. Several times, it seemed L.T. might not make it, but with the love and support of the Living Free team, he beat the odds. Michelle, a staff member at Living Free, eventually took him into her home to foster him. He became a "foster fail" when Michelle realized she couldn't imagine her life with him. He is now a mascot of the kennel as he comes to work daily with Michelle.

We are now so happy to work with L.T. and Pet Food Experts, giving back to Living Free Animal Sanctuary so they can continue to provide a safe place for other animals in need.
