An authentic animal themed West African mask. This mask is hand carved out of Sese wood and then hand painted by master Ghanaian artisan Theophilus Sackey. It features dark teal, beige and black hues and an elongated almond shape. The front of the mask is adorned with a Lion roaring. The lion lion has always been a symbol that represented royalty, strength, valor, courage and pride in Africa. The cheeks of the mask feature beige accents on a dark teal background to represent traditional Africa scarification.
This tribal mask measures approximately 18 inches (Height) x 6 inches (Length) x 2.8 inches (Diameter).
